Mind can be used in many different ways as it is just a word and not a reality. Here, mind is used to include the basic tripartite nature of humans--heart, soul, mind--as one.
THE NATURE OF MIND

Mind is a transceiver.

Mind is a vessel.

Mind is a temple.

Mind is a host.

Mind is an amplifier, channel, conductor, conduit, magnifier, mirror, receiver, reflector.

MIND IS SELF

Mind is being.

Mind is personhood.

Mind is true self.

MIND IS NOT KNOWABLE

Mind is the unbegun.

Mind is the undone.

Mind is the uncarved block.

Mind is the unaffected.

Mind is the unbound.

MIND IS NOT THINKING

Mind is not a thinker.

Mind is not a thought.

Mind is not a producer of thought.

Mind is not a creator of thought.

Mind is not an analyzer.

Mind is not a controller.

Mind is not a comparer.

Mind is not a judge.

Mind is not a knower.

Mind is not a doer.

Mind is not being anything.

Mind is not a witness.

Mind is not an observer.

Mind is not a thing.

Mind is not something that it can be observed.

Mind is neither body nor brain.

MIND IS NOT CONSCIOUSNESS

Mind is not identity.

Mind is not consciousness.

Identity is self-consciousness.

Attention is other-consciousness.

Identity is self-awareness.

Attention is other-awareness.

MIND MUST BE EXPERIENCED

To identify with mind is not to identify with the thinker.

To identify with mind is not to identify with thought.

Mind can only be experienced not known as thought.

TWO FALSE IDENTITIES: FALSE SELF OR EGO

Whatever you give your identity to--that you are.

Whatever you give your attention to--that is other.

You identify self as the thinker and as some of the thoughts of the thinker. You are neither.

You consistently identify self as thoughts as the observer, thinker, chooser, knower, doer, be-er. This is your primary and constant false self.

From the imagined actions of this observer, you choose some comparisons to be and some not to be. This is your secondary and ever changing false self.

The thinker does not think.

The observer does not observe.

The thought of you is not your being.

INNER CONFLICT

Inner conflict results from your identifying with the thinker and his thoughts. You are neither. The thinker is in fact just one of the thoughts.

The conflict is continual as the thinker can never measure up all of the time. The "what-is" is rarely or never quite the "what-should-be."

SPIRITUAL DECEPTION

The false way out of the conflict between the thinker and his thinking is to identify with one or more grandiose thoughts or images of God, Universe, Spirit, Energy, Oneness, Life, Flow, Nature, Humanity, Mind, Being, Soul, Body, Peace, Love, etc. They are all just idols, just death, just uncleanness when identified with.

You are then still not the mind but only dead thoughts. You think you have arrived because you are out of the conflict between the thinker and his thoughts.

While you have essentially escaped the conflict between what you are and what you should be by identifying with global good ideas, you are still just another member of the living dead: those identified with static thought instead of living mind.

Those identified with global thoughts of goodness have some free time from the conflict so can talk and sound like the true good. Consider yourself forewarned.

SPIRITUAL TRICK

The spiritual trick allows you to both seem to be at peace and to appear good to others. Yet, inside, you are still the servant of darkness, death, and destruction.

THE WAY OF SPIRITUAL DEATH

1) Stop resisting being called, labeled, judged evil inside.

2) Identify with some grandiose and global good idea.

3) Worship this idol as self, other, and-or as both.

4) Keep the true nature of this false identity in darkness.

5) Seek to murder others as this same idea.

Mind is the inner body, the inner vessel, the inner man. Your physical body is the outer body, the outer vessel. You are two vessels in one: the inner spiritual body and the physical body.

QUOTATIONS VARIOUS SOURCES
"This identification with something greater--the party, the country, the race, the religion, God--is the search for power. Because you in yourself are empty, dull, weak, you like to identify yourself with something greater. That desire to identify yourself with something greater is the desire for power."--J. Krishnamurti, The Collected Works of J. Krishnamurti, Volume V, page 61
"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:"--II Corinthians 5:6
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."--II Corinthians 5:8
"That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;"--Ephesians 3:16
"Lives based on having are less free than lives based either on doing or on being."--William James
"The first job is to get some clarity of understanding about yourself, what you are, and where you are going."--Harry D. Gideonse
"Know thyself."--Greek saying
"The only effort worth making is the one it takes to learn the geography of one's own nature."--Paul Bowles
"The highest courage is to dare to appear to be what one is."--John L. Spalding
"To be is to do."--Plato
"To do is to be."--Socrates
"The way to do is be."--Lao Tzz
"To be is to be related."--J. Krishnamurti
