"Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison."--Matthew 5:25

Inner conflict occurs when you debate with yourself whether or not you are good or not.
When you resist admitting you are guilty, the attacks persist until you are fully convicted.
When you accept that you are guilty, you may mistakenly identify with the label and so die as the label.
When you accept that you are guilty, you may evilly identify with the label and die as the label, but then call that good, label that as good.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"--Isaiah 5:20

When you accept the label, confess to doing the wrong NOT to being the wrong.
When you confess, become humble, lowly, empty, simple, clear, naked, clean--and identify as the vessel once again.
REMEMBER: There is no point to correction unless there is there is the possibility of correction. Therefore, if there is any point, then you are not the object of correction but only your behavior is.
EXAMPLE: "Yes, I was acting like a ..., but isn't it great that I am not a ... so I can act the opposite in the future!"
